Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Chiropodist / Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will diagnose, treat, and manage various foot and lower limb conditions, helping patients improve their mobility and overall quality of life. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including preventive treatment, rehabilitation, and surgical interventions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Examine and diagnose foot and lower limb conditions such as bunions, heel pain, nail disorders, corns, calluses, and diabetic foot complications.
  • Treatment & Rehabilitation: Provide appropriate treatment plans, including orthotics, wound care, minor surgical procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Preventive Care: Educate patients on foot hygiene, proper footwear, and exercises to maintain foot health and prevent future conditions.
  • Surgical Procedures: Perform minor foot surgeries, including ingrown toenail removal and soft tissue procedures, when required.
  • Diabetic Foot Care: Manage and treat foot problems associated with diabetes, preventing complications such as ulcers and infections.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop holistic treatment plans.
  • Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, treatment notes, and patient progress reports.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to healthcare regulations, infection control policies, and professional standards of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Podiatry/Chiropody or a related field.
  • Licensure: Must be a registered Chiropodist/Podiatrist with the appropriate licensing board in the practicing region.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a clinical or private practice setting is preferred but not required.
