Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, providing expert advice on drug therapies, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Dispensing & Management: Accurately prepare, dispense, and review prescriptions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Patient Consultation: Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, drug interactions, and proper dosage instructions.
- Pharmaceutical Expertise: Provide guidance to healthcare providers on drug selection, dosage adjustments, and therapeutic alternatives.
- Inventory Control: Manage pharmacy inventory, monitor medication stock levels, and ensure proper storage conditions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to local, national, and international pharmacy laws, ensuring the safe and legal distribution of medications.
- Pharmacovigilance & Safety: Monitor patient responses to prescribed medications and report adverse drug reactions as required.
- Compounding & Specialty Medications: Prepare customized medications for patients as needed, including sterile and non-sterile compounds.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Work alongside physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to develop comprehensive patient treatment plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy (BPharm, PharmD) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Must be a licensed pharmacist in the practicing region.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, retail, or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of drug therapies and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Ability to analyze prescriptions and detect potential drug interactions
